No-code workflow automation provider adds former Litmus and LogMeIn leaders to drive product innovation and expand global outreach

FISHERS, Ind. – May 18, 2022 – Formstack, a no-code workplace productivity platform that empowers anyone to digitize what matters, automate workflows and fix processes, today announced the appointment of Richard Yu as chief product officer and Rob Lawrence as chief operating officer.

“Formstack’s commitment to our team and customers is on full display as we strengthen our leadership team with experienced leaders like Richard and Rob,” said Formstack CEO Chris Byers. “We take a great amount of pride in our products and how they are presented to customers. Bringing in two seasoned professionals with more than 50 combined years of experience in sales, marketing, and product development to enhance our product strategy is a huge win for our team and customers.”

Richard Yu joins Formstack as chief product officer, guiding the vision, organization, and development of Formstack’s product roadmap. He is a proven product and marketing leader with an extensive background in cultivating teams, products, and businesses. Before joining Formstack, Yu led the product team at Litmus, where he prioritized balancing a user experience-first approach while building enterprise offerings.

“With more than 20 years of experience developing products, identifying solutions with longevity has become second nature. I believe Formstack’s product suite has unlimited growth potential,” said Yu. “The product team is already exceptional, so my job will be to accelerate, extend, and refine the successful strategy they have already deployed. I look forward to continuing to build on a ‘one team’ product culture that is mission-driven and collaborative across the company.”

Rob Lawrence will lead the go-to-market strategy and oversee sales, marketing, and partner teams. Before joining Formstack, Rob spent seven years as SVP of strategy and corporate development at LogMeIn (now GoTo, Inc.), where he was part of a leadership team that scaled revenue from $250 million to $1.4 billion. With experience as an advisor and operator, Rob brings a long history of success to the Formstack team.

“It’s invigorating to join a company like Formstack with a strong foundation already in place paired with a passion for growth and evolution,” said Lawrence. “Customers across nearly all industries are using Formstack to build for their immediate needs—digitizing and automating business processes—and scaling with Formstack to help meet their larger, multi-year digital transformation needs. I'm excited to accelerate our go-to-market efforts to help more customers unleash their workforce with our no-code workflow automation platform.”

The addition of Yu and Lawrence to the Formstack Executive Leadership Team follows the recent appointments of Tammy Polk as chief human resources officer, Liza Smyth as SVP of customer experience, and Kristine Camron as SVP and general counsel.
